This position covers Tauranga Moana from Katikati to Otamarakau. It is based at Stand Children Services in Brookfield, Tauranga and works within the Stand Children Services kaupapa of A World Strong with Children.

This is a permanent position, coordinating and facilitating meetings for families, whanau and involving multiple agencies. It is a 20 hour per week job share position with an existing coordinator who also works 20 hours per week.

Applicants must have a good working knowledge of existing services available to families including community services, iwi social services, health, housing, justice and education. This position requires a strong understanding and respect of Tikanga Maori and how to reflect this within the Strengthening Families process.

It is desirable for applicants to hold a relevant tertiary qualification (Social work or similar), but not essential. An ability to manage complexity and work form a focus on safety and well being for the benefit of children,families and whanau is essential.

Applicants require strong verbal, written communication and reporting skills and an ability to relate to a wide diversity of people and situations.
